Our wire baskets come in standard sizes as well as custom made to fit your needs whether they are washing, degreasing, material handling, or any other wire basket you need. We also provide design and engineering services for specific applications.

Industrial Grade Wire Baskets
The industrial grade wire baskets are perfect for dipping, cleaning, sorting, degreasing, and storing parts. Steellong manufacture these carbon steel or stainless steel wire baskets to fit your exact specifications. The baskets have welded frames and heavy wire mesh linings to stand up to rough industrial handling.

Precision Stainless Steel Baskets
Perfect for cleaning small parts in an ultrasonic unit. Baskets are constructed with 1/8” dia. rod with No. 4, No. 10 or No. 24 mesh. Baskets come with or without a latching lid. Each basket is buffed and electropolished to enhance corrosive resistance. Precision baskets have handles and are stackable. Each basket is buffed and electropolished to assure no sharp edges.

Inline Cleaning System Stainless Baskets
Perfect for cleaning small and large PC boards in an inline cleaning system unit. Baskets are constructed with 3/16” dia. rod and No. 3 mesh. Baskets come with a removable latching lid. Dividers are available for these baskets.

Bulk Product Cleaning Baskets
Designed to be used in most cleaning systems. Baskets are constructed with ¼” dia. rod and No. 4 or No. 2 mesh. Each basket is buffed and electropolished to enhance corrosive resistance. Nylabond coating available upon request. Bulk baskets have handles and are stackable.

Washing and Degreasing Wire Baskets
The heavy duty Washing and Degreasing baskets are designed to be economical and very sturdy. We use flattened and expanded metal, perforated metal or wire mesh liners with various opening sizes. Wire Baskets are made of carbon steel or stainless as required.

Heat Treat Wire Baskets
The heat treat wire baskets are custom made to your specifications. We uses Type 309, Type 330 Stainless Steels, Inconnel alloys and other heat resistant metals. Engineering services are available for specific applications.

Food Industry Wire Baskets
Stainless steel wire baskets are often used for pasta cooking, food steaming, food handling, etc. Wire baskets are electro polished or finished with most any finish that is required. We also manufacture fryer baskets in carbon steel with nickel finish or stainless steel with electro polished finish.

Material Handling Wire Baskets
Material Handling wire baskets are custom designed to fit your exact needs and engineered to hold your product securely to eliminate damage during transportation or storage. Zinc or nickel plated carbon steel or 304 stainless steel, perforated metal or wire mesh liners are available.

Dipping and Plating Wire Baskets
Our round dipping and plating wire baskets can be produced in standard and custom sizes and manufactured in carbon steel, stainless steel and various other alloys. Polypropylene perforated baskets also available.

Laboratory & Medical Wire Baskets
Wire baskets used in the medical field, hospitals and laboratories are burr free to eliminate the possibility of lacerations from handling and all wire ends are melted to a spherical shape. Finished wire baskets are electro polished, powder epoxy, polyester coating, vinyl coating, or Teflon coated as required.

All sizes are for overall outside dimensions, in inches (1/2" increments).

Wire Mesh Size Designation: Wire mesh is designated by “Mesh Number” (number of wires per inch) and “Wire Diameter” (the diameter of each wire). A higher "mesh number" means more wires to the inch, a higher "wire diameter" means a thicker wire. The "Opening Size" listed is the approximate size of the square openings between the wires.
Wire Mesh Selection for your application: Select a mesh for your basket with an opening size smaller than your smallest parts (so your parts don't fall through), but large enough to allow good flow and drainage. In general, mesh with a larger wire diameter is more durable than smaller wire diameters. We have only a few common mesh sizes listed here, but there are an unlimited selection of mesh sizes and wire diameters available.
