Woven wire mesh sieves are the most widely used test sieves for all types of laboratory particle size analysis. They are made with only the highest quality materials and are available in diameter sizes of 38, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 315, 350, 400 and 450 mm, as well as 3, 8, 12 and 18 inches.They can be supplied with aperture sizes ranging from 125 mm down to 20 µm and in full or half height versions.

Woven wire mesh sieves are available in frame materials of either brass or stainless steel with larger diameter sieves also available in plated steel. Other materials and sizes can be produced to order.

Perforated plate sieves can be supplied in frame materials of either brass or stainless steel, and all are manufactured to the highest engineering standards to ensure quality and accuracy. All 200 mm perforated plates are stainless steel. Larger Perforated plates in stainless steel on request..Perforated plate sieves are available to every national and international standard.

Microplate Test Sieves Stainless Steel Frame
For very fine particle size analysis Steellong produce a range of microplate sieves made from electro-etched nickel plate in stainless steel frames of 100mm diameter by either half or full depth. Available with unique self clearing apertures in sizes from 75 to 5 microns.

Laboratory Test Sieves: A test sieve is a measuring instrument and should not be maltreated. Sieves should be used with care, cleaned regularly and stored in a safe dry place. Care should be taken when sieving certain chemicals, especially hygroscopic salts, which can affect brass sieves. Always wash and dry the sieves after each test. For the sizing of substances which are liable to corrode brass, we recommend the use of stainless steel sieves. Particles should never be forced through a test sieve - even the gentle brushing of material through the finer meshes is undesirable, but this procedure is occasionally unavoidable for certain materials that are otherwise difficult to sieve.

Half-height Wire Sieves: Available in diameters of 100, 200, 300mm and 3, 8 and 12 inches with the complete range of woven wire mesh or perforated plate sieving mediums. Half-height sieves are the same price as full-height sieves.
